Give your company an inbox AI agents can use

Customers have started asking their AI assistants to book a table, order stock, or get three quotes by Friday. The agent goes to the businesses it can talk to. One of the first things an AI operator can do is make sure theirs is one of them.
What the business needs
Somewhere an agent can ask for something and get a real answer: is Saturday free, what would this cost, is the order confirmed. On the business’s side, every request should arrive as something with a type and a state, a booking, an order, a quote request or a message, not as another email to read.
Surfing Dog Inbox does that. It is open source and runs on the company’s own server or on Cloudflare for about five dollars a month. Agents reach it through MCP (Claude, ChatGPT) or a plain REST API, and customers can simply email it. The business’s own rules answer the routine requests, a person handles the rest, and the owner can connect their own AI to it.

Install it for your company
Give your AI one line and it sets the whole thing up: the server, the company’s subdomain, email in, and the first sign-in. It asks before anything that costs money or touches DNS, and checks each step. The line, and what it does, are at surfingdog.ai/install.
- First week: services, hours and prices in, and rules for what can be confirmed without anyone.
- Then: connect the owner’s AI, and point the website’s contact and booking links at it.
- Measure: requests answered without a person, time to answer, and what agents asked for that the business couldn’t do.
Being found
Once it runs, the inbox can join the Surfing Dog network, a directory agents read to find businesses, verified by the company’s own domain. Joining is a switch, and so is leaving: network.surfingdog.ai.
